Though not as extreme as last year, the Arctic continues to show evidence of a shift to a new warmer, greener state in 2013, according to the Arctic Report Card, an annual report that details Arctic change released by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

The Sustainable Development Working Group (SDWG) works on initiatives that provide practical knowledge and contribute to building the capacity of Indigenous Peoples and Arctic communities to respond to challenges and benefit from the opportunities emerging in the Arctic. SDWG is currently seeking an Executive Secretary to support the SDWG Chair and ensure timely completion of SDWG activities.
